WATER RECIRCULATING AQUACULTURE SYSTEM (WRAS).

USING THE NEW MOST ADVANCED METHOD OF FISH FARMING IN THE WORLD.

-Super intensive fish culture using water recirculating
aquaculture system.                    (introduction and principles)

Increasing urbanization has crowded most of us into CONCRETE JUNGLES called cities, leading to increasingly scarce and expensive spare land.

The garden of an average town house is rarely large enough for more than cultivation of some vegetables and perhaps the keeping of a few chickens. It is not a place for digging pond dykes and drainage ditches.

With an annual frozen fish import bill of over N27 billion (second only to rice importation- N73 billion approximately) and a dismal protein deficient teeming population, majority of whom cannot afford a regular diet of LIVE&FRESH CATFISH at its current market price of N800 per kilo (except for the frozen ‘OKU-EKO’ mackerel), a few wise entrepreneurs have started keeping fish in the restricted areas available to them in quantities that far exceed the output of FISH PONDS. They choose an advanced space-saving method to do so, using a technique called RECIRCULATING SYSTEM to rear fish in these circumstances.

Quite apart from their HIGH PRODUCTIVITY despite SMALL PHYSICAL
SIZE
,
recycling systems embrace energy and resource conservation with a degree of adaptability unequalled by other fish farming systems. By reducing the fish to water ratio from something like 1:20,000 in ponds to 1:100 or less, much greater CONTROL over the fish is possible.

Virtually AUTONOMOUS WATER REQUIREMENTS mean that recirculating systems can be located ANYWHERE and the choice of fish for culture in these systems is not limited by changes in climate as in Northern Nigeria. They have the least environmental impact and can be operated excellently in conjunction with agricultural, hydroponic or similar projects.

The capital investment required for a recycling system is 3 times more than that of an equivalent pond but the productivity is always 10 times more (not 100% but 10 fold! Or call it 1000%).

So if you belong to the entrepreneurial category that is in need of plenty of proactively generated profits and do not have

(1) ENOUGH LAND

 (2) ENOUGH WATER

 (3) THE RIGHT SOILS

 (4) TENEMENTS&PERMITS

 (5) PROTECTION FROM FISH-EATING BIRDS

 (6) ANIMALS

 (7) HUMANS (POACHERS).

PROSPERITY IN CATFISH FARMING

   PROSPERITY IN CATFISH FARMING.

THIS MAN PHOTO ABOVE DID SOME FISH FARMING IN HIS TIME (about 180,000 years ago). He is the ancestors of modern man (i.e Homo sapiens) from whom evolutionist (scientists who study animal ancestry) believe we all took our roots from.

Put it’s a BIG SURPRISE that many Nigerians are still using his PRIMITIVE METHODS to breed and grow their fish.

Let’s take a look at the highlight of his methodology:

1.       He catches his fingerlings from the wild river irrespective of their age or state of health instead of HATCHING and NURSING them on his own.

2.       His fishes are fed with so-called scraps (left-over human food) from the table instead of COMPOUNDING FISH PELLETS (as you know this is wrong, because we humans are OMNIVOROUS FEEDERS while CATFISHES are CARNIVOROUS) so growth of fish is retarded due to this habit.

3.       His ponds were dug randomly to a large size without regard for (i) DRAINAGE OF WATER for harvesting. (ii) Prevention of PREDATION by birds (e.g Kingfishers) and Toads/Frogs.

4.       He STOCKS fishes at the rate of 2 fish per square metre instead of the current 50-100 fishes per sqm thereby making less than 10% of the profit a knowledgeable farmer should have made.

5.       He never GRADES his fish so he ends up with about 100 fish or less from an initial stock of 2000 fish.

There are many BLUNDERS in his methods yet modern day Nigerians still rely on his archaic techniques based on information from ‘old experts!’.

It’s time to do things right! If your intention is to breed thousands of catfish fingerlings (in a limited space) for sale every six weeks on a low budget, then arm yourself with N10,000 to purchase the CATFISH FINGERLINGS PRODUCTION BOOK AND DVD, postage is free!. You can also become a mastermind by purchasing the BUMPER PACK.
